Went to the see ‘The Australian Classic Rock Show’ at the New Theatre, started at possible my favourite pub in Oxford – Far from the Madding Crowd Crowd.
Below is a write up found on the internet –
From the producers of the phenomenally successful tribute concert, ‘The Australian Pink Floyd Show’ comes a brand new concept. Using the same winning formula of impeccable musicianship matched with a spectacular sound and lights show, animations and a sprinkle of Aussie humour, The Australian Classic Rock Show presents two and a half hours of classic rock’s best moments! A virtuoso band of the finest musicians on the planet will perform a mix of selected classic rock album sides plus a special anthem-by-anthem climax to the show, including tracks by Supertramp, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Steely Dan, Genesis, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Who. An unforgettable evening of guitar rocking, air punching, chorus singing, foot stomping fun. Sore throat guaranteed!
And I got to say it was rather brilliant. The tracks from Dire Straits were especially good.
